Cyborg Renaissance

Jakob Chapman

(A Student Contributor)

Poetry
Science Fiction

What happens to an incubus deferred?

Does it hightail
like a neutrino from a fusion-puddle?
Or canker in the cyber-core—
And then scuttle?
Does it miscarry like corrupted datum?
Or soak and dope over—
like a decaying atom?

Maybe it just bows
like a graviton payload.

Or does it implode?
