Poetry
Science Fiction

As the Army raised its rifles
And the National Guard watched
The figures in the hatch of the spaceship
Joined hands and started to polka.

The President took their gifts of beer and kielbasa
But left the tasting to the press corps.

After analysis the NSA concluded
That a culture that would greet others with dance and song
Was capable of torture:

Or perhaps the music of the spheres
Is Frankie Yankovic.
