Submission Guidelines

Inspirational, Editorial, and Articles

Your contribution in these areas should be guided by our adherence to traditional values and Christian principles. However, we are NOT looking for preachy, judging, Sunday school items. Be uplifting, encouraging, and provide something that is interesting to our audience—fans of fantasy and science fiction who are comfortable in an environment committed to a Christian world view.

Articles

We are looking for articles that fans of fantasy and science fiction would find interesting. Without attempting to provide a comprehensive list, some ideas might be articles on technology, gadgets, science discoveries, origins of ancient myths and legends... Remember the audience and write to them.

Inspirational Essays

We believe that inspirational essays need not be dogmatic. We are not interested in works proving or disproving controversial idioms of theology. Inspirational essays should uplift and encourage all readers. They should not tear down any group or religion. This category of contribution might garner submission of items circulated via e-mail. DO NOT submit articles unless YOU are the author.

Editorials

Editorials are expected to relate to topics of interest to our targeted audience. Editorials bashing government leaders will be less likely to be accepted than those rendering opinions of converting books into movies (for example).

Length

Most works of this type will appear online, and as such should be crafted to the tastes of web consumers. That means shorter more than longer. Internet users want works that keep them entertained, or that give them fast, easy access to information that is important to them. Be sure your work moves fast!

Payment

MindFlights pays 1/2 cent (US) per word with a minimum of $5.00 and a maximum of $25.00. Authors whose works appear in the print version will also receive one contributor copy.

Reprints

As stated above, we prefer original works, but exceptional reprints will be considered. The author must be sure they have the right to sell reprints.
