I am very pleased to be back in MindFlights again.

For "Tower of Heaven, Sword of Night", I wanted to see if I could get an entire high fantasy epic into four or five thousand words or so - cleanliness may be next to godliness, but brevity comes in at a pretty close second. The idea from the story came from the "Epic of Gilgamesh", when Gilgamesh sets off on a quest to restore his friend Enkidu to life.
