Hi everyone.
For those of you who don't know me, I had been an editor with The Sword Review almost since the beginning. Earlier this year life circumstances were such that I had to take an extended leave of absence (does anyone else's life get in the way of things?) - but now things have quieted down to a dull roar again and, as I told Selena and Bill, I find myself in the mornings with a cup of coffee and some free time.
Boy has a lot happened here in the last nine months! It took me a while just to catch up with the news. Then I registered here, asked the management if I could start reading submissions again, and they graciously said yes. So here I am.
I live in Pennsylvania and am a married (16 years) mother of 15-year-old twin boys who just went back to public school after three years of home schooling (hence some of the free time in the morning). We have two young cats and a very old dog. I work as a fiber jewelry artist and a tax accountant. These two jobs, as diverse as they may seem, usually work well together because they have opposite busy seasons - tax accounting's being January-May and the the art shows crank up May-December.
I have always loved to read - I taught myself with Winnie the Pooh books-on-tape at around 3 and was reading The Hardy Boys by Kindergarten (I'm a bit of a tomboy, so I didn't start Nancy Drew until I ran out of Hardy Boys books to read). I could not get my hands on enough books as I was growing up. My favorite genre is Fantasy, but I'm a pretty big Sci-Fi fan as well.
Anyway, I'm glad to be back, and I've got my coffee, so I'm going to jump right into reading subs.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome - it's good to see all the familiar names again.
As to the questions - well, having teenage boys in the house is good - I've not gotten to the point yet where I say I wish they would revert back to a certain younger age - so far, the older they get, the better I like 'em. Even with the arguments and seeking their own way and making bad choices.
I'm afraid Runescape is still last on the list of things to be done (and the list is loooooong). Because we are longer home schooling, the kids don't have their computers anymore which means they hardly play, and then I have no excuse to get on and play. So far, I haven't missed it.
*sips coffee and waves* See you all on the boards! _________________ “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” ~C.S. Lewis
